EL MERCADO CENTER This mixed use commercial project in the heart of Lafayette, Colorado, will play a key role in helping to revitalize the downtown portion of the city. The El Mercado Center will include an ethnic restaurant, tortilla factory, convenience store, retail space and multi-family housing. Designed with respect to the culture of the area, two different styles of architecture were employed. The Pueblo Style restaurant / retail space and the Territorial Style formed the tortilla factory / convenience store provide two uniquely different styles connected by a distinctive entry arch. An additional arch separates the housing from the commercial buildings.
