O. D.'s SPORTS CROSSING 218 SMOKEY STREET FT. COLLINS, COLORADO O. D.'s Sports Crossing is an indoor sports facility for soccer and roller hockey. The facility also accommodates basketball and volleyball play by reconfiguring the field area. The facility is designed to support both recreational and competitive sports for individuals and leagues. The project is comprised of two building phases. The first phase was completed in 1997 and consisted principally of a single sports field, a small pro shop and office, and support facilities. The second phase, completed in 2001, added a second sports field in an arena configuration with elevated seating and observation areas. Also included in the addition are a new entry, men's and women's team locker rooms, a new pro shop, offices, skate rental and repair shop, a video arcade, a snack bar and eating area overlooking the playing field, new public toilet facilities, and a large meeting room. The total facility has an area of 53,640 square feet. A unique feature of the facility is the use of the sloping site to accommodate seating and overviews of the playing field. The building is a clear-span, pre-engineered structure with exterior masonry walls.
